At Brands Hatch last weekend, we took our first podium in Lotus Cup UK with the Europa Racing Lotus Europa owned by Campbell Cassidy.

With race preparation and support from TMC Motorsport, and driven by Matt Cherrington, the Europa Racing Lotus beat off competition from the Cup UK and Cup Europe grids to claim 2nd in the Lotus Open Class.

Next event in this championship is at Donington over the weekend of 13th/14th August when we return to the hour long, two driver format.

This weekend sees TMC teaming up with our colleagues at Track Focused (http://www.trackfocused.co.uk/) at the first round of the Fun Cup Endurance Championship at Croft.

This massively popular series has been granted championship status for 2011, and is looking busier than ever!

TMC will be there in a coaching and analysis role, helping to look after drivers Mike McCollum and Neil Smith.
Mike and Neil took their first ever win at Oulton Park in 2010 under the guidance of TMC and Track Focused, and will be looking to build on that success in the pair of 4 hour races this weekend.

TMC Motorsport have started our 2011 campaign on the Lotus on Track Racing Drivers Club Cup UK Championship.

Commencing at Snetterton on March 19th, the season spans 7 rounds including a trip to Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.

Race one was a disappointment for TMC with the Lotus Europa driven by Campbell Cassidy and Matt Cherrington finishing the race in the pit lane with a worsening misfire. However this was the first time the car had been run in Cup UK spec for a race distance, so teething troubles were expected!

The next round is at Silverstone on 17th April where we are supporting the FIA Formula 2 cars! We are hoping to bring a vastly improved Europa to this event, and with a full day test on Friday 15th are confident of pushing for a class podium.
